Spectrum Math
These are very concise and consecutive workbooks which review only one concept per page. Each section begins with a pretest and ends with a chapter test. The back side of each skill page contains a matching set of story problems. These books are an excellent supplement to Saxon Math in which extra drill is needed.

Saxon Math
The students will need to have workbooks to write out their work. As they progress through the levels, it will become incresingly important for them to write out all the steps of the problems which they are solving. Be tough on this one. Don't accept work if the child refuses to write out a multi-step problem (correcting is faster if the answers are re-copied in an answer colunm on one side of the paper, or are circled).
The Home Study Kit includes all materials necessary for one student and one teacher for a full year of study. Kits include a textbook, test forms and an answer booklet. The Home Study Kits for Saxon 54-Saxon 87 now include a solutions manual as well.

Key to Percents
Key to Percents first emphasizes mental computation and estimation skills--since most work with percents isdone without pencil and paper. Then students are taught to solve percent problems using equal fractions and decimal
multiplication. Finally, percents are used to solve word problems in a variety of applications. Key to Percents assumes only a knowledge of fraction and decimal computation. Book 1 covers Percent Concepts. Book 2 covers Percents and Fractions. Book 3 covers Percents and Decimals.
Key to Algebra
Key To Algebra offers a unique, proven way to introduce algebra to your students. New concepts are explained in simple language and examples are easy to follow. Word problems relate algebra to familiar situations, helping students 
understand abstract concepts. Students develop understanding by solving equations and inequalities intuitively before formal solutions are introduced. Students begin their study of algebra in Books 1-4 using only integers. Books 5-7 introduce rational numbers and expressions. Books 8-10 extend coverage to the real number system.
